i need new batteries and i have the option to get 2 optima red top batteries for 150$ off a guy i know and they are about 200$ each so would this be a good battery for my truck its a 1994 f250 7.3 turbo diesel and i need to get the best option for my money right now
this should tell you what you need to know about them... for the most part, theic cca is 800, a couple of 720's. i have 1 wally world batt that is 750, and 1 that is 625, and dont really have a problem with them. BUT i live in east texas, we dont have very cold weather as the norm
ford recommends 2- 850CCA batteries... if you dont live in the Tundra, you probably could get by with them with out any problem... they are not much less than that... i think as far as power wise you should be good... personally i have never delt with them, so i cant help you any more there.
the red tops look soooo small the cats where huge now i think i will have to make some new battery holds because the cats fit very snug and these im worried about jumping out of place i think i am going to get the cats tested and if they are still ok i will hook them up for my stereo in the back can i just run a line from my front batteries to the rear and ground them will this keep them charged ?i have been wondering about this for a while the red tops i only ended up paying 120$ for them and they are both 800 cca so i guess i will keep them for now
