leaking ebpv
OK guys first of all i want to admit i dont know anything about the power strokes except they are good engines i my self am a Cummings man. But i have a good friend that has a 2003 7.3 with 55000 miles on it and the oil cooler was leaking oil in the water so we replaced it only to have the ebpv pedestal start leaking. ordered a rebuild kit from Riff Raff that guy was great, OK didnt hone the cylinder and put it back together and still leaked so went and got a used pedestal with no leaks and put the new rebuilt valve in and still leaks but if you unplug the valve it quits leaking oil. what the crap

This will fix it. Tap it 1/4-18 NPT the hole is already the correct size.

i have been seeing this fix on here what are the pros and cons and will it make the check engine light come on,and thanks guys for the help it seams like when ever i post a question on the forums people are always eager to help.

It will set a code P0475 but no SES light. You can fool the PCM by wiring a 470 OHM 1/2 or 1 watt resisitor across the connector.
