how hard is it to put straight axles and leaf springs under a 1989-1996 ford f250? I would like to do this so i can get a cheaper lift and so they will hold up to bigger tires. is it possible? if so how easy is it?
it is possible. and as far as easy goes that depends on your skills. go to fullsizebronco.com. they have a whole subsection on this and is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to this subject. good luck.
i'm a supporter, don't get me wrong, but i figured i would help him out and save him alot of questions that may be better answered from the numerous amounts of people that have done the swap versus someone whom has merely read up on it. for most what he is talking about doing isnt just a simple afternoon or weekend job, even with all the parts gathered. this is a good example rite here where a fellow member simply critiques instead of giving useful information.

No not critic, surprised to see a supporter do that. Yea the important thing is to get the information to the poster, that and I thought links to other sites where frowned upon?
As stated no not a huge job, couple days max couple guys with nothing but simple hand tools and a shade tree. Moderate collection of air tools and what nots?, 4 hours or so and it has been covered here before, enough to get the job done. It not all that "technical" of a task at all so a big long write up just isn't needed.
Anyway just struck me odd you'd send em someplace else.
