i put 2 10's in my truck not to long ago,i already had tweeters, 6.5's, and 6x9's and all of them are running off my radio and my subs are off my amp. but now when i turn my volume up on a song with alot of mids and highs everything but my subs have a crackeling noise what can i do to fix this?
i thought it may have been my box but i pulled the subs and checked all my joints and everywhere air could get in or out and found nothing. i can unhook my subs and the tweeters and door speakers still do it and then i can switch my amp to full range and the subs will make up for some of the lost sound quality, but my subs are only single voice coil so it dosent help much. i know its in the highs and mids just dont really know how to fix it
For giggles, you might try disconnecting the speakers one at a time, to see if there is a change. If it does, you might try swapping the speakers around and see if the noise follows the speakers or if it's independent of the speakers.
