I've got a front dana 60 out of a 79 F350 I want to put under the front of my 66 bronco but it's missing the drivers' side caliper bracket. Will any later year brackets work or am I looking for a needle in a haystack?
It does not have to come from a 60. One from a 76-79 8 lug Dana 44 will also work. 85-91 Dana 60's use the same spindle, hub and rotor.....but not the caliper. You may be able to retro-fit 85-91 style calipers and brackets.
I was workin' on mine tonight, and it looks like I'm gonna need a right side bracket myself. The one that was on my truck is super rusted, and the one that was on the spare front end they goofed up the spring retaining bolt hole. It goes in at a really goofy angle. Looks like they fubar'd the original threads and drilled and tapped a new hole that is all askew. Anyway, if you're lookin' for a left side, and don't mind the spring retaining screw hole being stripped out, then I got one you can have.

Ahh. Thanks. That at least gives me more options to look for.

Are you talking about a backing plate or a caliper bracket?
