Typical Newbie Question...
I'm looking for a '99-03 7.3 crew cab. I want it bad. I've done a lot of online looking. I found a local(Northwest Ohio) truck that fits the bill. 2003 crew cab 7.3 FX4. ,I think it's 2 wheel drive, and I would rather have 4wd. Couple things. It has a 7.3 DDI turbo diesel. What is DDI? Also with only 131k miles, why only $17,000 from a dealer? Is there something usual that goes wrong that would drop the price.

FX4 is the off road package which contained a few goodies like fuel tank skid plate and shocks. The DI is direct injection. The truck you are looking at is a 4x4 model with a 7.3L and just so you know, 2003 model was the split year when the 6.0L was introduced. You can go to the 7.3L engine forums and ask a few questions or just look around.

Well I looked forever for a nice 7.3 around here and just couldnt find one without millions of miles or beat to mess. So I ended up getting a nice King Ranch 04 model loaded down. The prices on these trucks are going down quite a bit so shop around.
