Hey these are my new headlights they are that halo style or whatever. This is a wierd sort of thing for me to do on my truck but they werent expensive and they look traditional with a twist so Im very satisfied.
yea I found them on ebay fro pretty cheap but was surprised how durable they were. That is a pic with my parking lights on when my headlights are on both the halo and the headlight shows, its pretty bright
I think the High Intensity Discharge lights are legal in most states, but a steady or flashing blue light is illegal. If your vehicle is parked and not on,I think it's a slide, but you can't have them on when moving. You need to check your local laws to make sure they're legal.
It's ok, very few people in MD care, including the Troopers. You should see some of the crap on the roads there... They REALLY need an annual safety inspection. It makes some FL cars look nince. On the flipside, if it's DOT, the states cant say much about it.
Those lights are also "supposed" to be installed with a seperate switch for the halo lighting that is powered only when the running/parking lights are on. It's only illegal if it's enforced.
i know a guy who got a ticket for his blue lights in his amp that was mounted on the back dash of his civic.
My buddy wanted to put blue lights in the back window of his truck, but his stepmom is an officer for the Florida Highway Patrol, and she said it was illegal to have them on anytime you're on a roadway. She said it was safer to just leave them off than to chance it anywhere.
I've also heard that it's illegal to drive with your dome light on.Not sure about that one though.
