It looks more and more like I'll be replacing my HPOP
So I have a couple of questions.
1) Any tips/tricks to making this an "easy" adventure?
2) Where will I find the best price on a good pump?
3) where will I find the best price on good injectors? I will probably do them at the same time.
4) Is there a "complete" gasket kit available for doing this job or do I need to purchase all of them seperately? Which ones will I need?
5) Is there a chance of just being able to re-seal the injectors or is there other problems that they experience?
6) What are the chances that I have an internal high pressure oil leak and not a bad pump? And if so, is it better to just go ahead and replace the pump while in there in lieu of just replaceing seals?
I know, a lot of questions, but I do appreciate any help that is offered.
In looking for injectors, it appears that there are injectors for 2003-2004.5 and also for 2004.5-2007. Is there really a difference? Some adds say that their injectors fit 2003 - 2007??? Confused....

IIRC there are the C94 and C95 injectors. C94 ( 2003-2004.5) were the older style and if you are replacing all 8 go with C95. I am pretty sure the 95s have a black top and the 94s are white. I think the updated 95s (2004.5-2007) are less prone to stiction. If I remember right there were also C90 maybe(?) which were the very first 6.0 injectors and they weren't good at all. If I am incorrect someone will let us know. HTH
EDIT: I just re-read this and I had to laugh- theres a whole lotta "if I remembers" in it, haha. Getting old sucks.
