Sad Day - Pics of the Wreck

That sucks dude, when I had my accident December 08, it took them 3 weeks to get my Explorer in to look at it, wound up totalling it, and I was glad they did. They quoted only body damage, but I was struck in the passenger rear wheel and figure there was some driveline damage, if not some frame, it rode rough after the hit.
Geico did give me more than I thought the vehicle was worth, at least more than what KBB said it was worth.

Well, it is day 17 since the wreck, day 15 since first contacted by OP insurance. The replacement appraiser made it to the shop today, evaluated the shop estimate, and the adjuster subsequently approved the repairs. Parts are being ordered today. Hallelujah!
Will be cut-n-weld, no full bed replacement. The estimated completion date now is out to April 30! Cannot wait, but do not want to rush them either if you no what I mean.

UPDATE - 4/23/10
Spoke to the shop yesterday. Said the repairs were advancing quicker than expected, so I should be getting it back prior to the 4/30 date. The truck was out getting a Line-X liner yesterday. Turns out the receiver hitch bracket was bent and they have replaced the entire hitch (w/o my input!). Gettin' anxious!

UPDATE - 4/28/10
Got word that the truck is finally ready.
Just waiting on insurance check to get it out of hock. Hopefully by end of the week. I caused a delay this time by not getting the signed release form back to the insurance company earlier. Will check back in once I get it back. Cannot wait. This Dodge Ram rental is not bad, but does not hold a candle to my F150!

Got the truck back Friday. Looked good for the most part though there is a problem with the alignment of the bed to the inner quarter panel (fender well) where the two panels were welded together. The two were appropriately flush at the rear of vehicle, but te bed was approximately 1/4" raised as you move toward the front. They agreed to correct it somehow after I objected. Will mean grinding the LineX, adjusting the alignment, welding and respraying the LineX (not crazy about that). Sorry, but no pics yet on the alignment. Have to deliver to them for a couple of days next week. Below are a couple of pics showing the externals after repair.

Looks good. My last truck was an 04, which was totaled last October when a rubbernecking senior citizen rear-ended my truck at 50mph+ when I was at a complete stop. Got sandwiched between him and another pickup. (three truck accident). Airbags deployed, bed was buckled, front didn't look too bad.
I figured they were going to total it though because it was an 02. Got more than I figured it was worth, so I was happy. (only had 45K on it).
