Goodies Alert!!!!!!
I just saw that the u-pull in Aurora, on 33rd has a special on engines this week-end! $75!!! I'll be there looking for an FE block! If you see a short chubby guy with gray hair under a 67-72 truck, cussin' and swearin', kick me on the foot and say Hi.

Goodies Alert!!!!!!
Well, I went down there Sunday and picked up what appears to be an original 390 out of a 1970 truck that was there. It only took me about 3 hours, which I don't think is too bad considering I have never pulled an engine before and I was by myself. The total cost for a complete engine was $104.xx after the darn $20 "core charge" and tax. (Like they are gonna get my old engine!!!) It is covered in crud and I hate having to sit at work on such a great day, when I could be cleaning this engine off! Wahhhhhh. And Mike, I am just like you....nothin' to do on a Sat.?....go roam the junkyard!
