I don't think they will actually last longer, more power yea, but I don't know what kind of hill is going to force you to gut an idi in as low as first gear. You are going to go up it in a lower gear, and turn more rpm's by the time you top out. Now say you are using 10 pounds of boost to get the same thing done, what is your effective compression ratio now and you are puting more pressure on your rods, mains and cam with the higher compression.

not so much a greenie as I hate paying exxon and their middle eastern cronies, but no worries I'm hard to offend I hate Rush, Savage, Pelosi and CNN just about equaly and suspect they are all actually working together to keep the hood on us while they milk us some more, that and I like to know what I'm eating so I'd rather grow it myself then pay someone to hire some illegals to pick it ohh and black smoke does tick me off out my tailpipe cause it means that fuel didn't do any work for me, now there's anyone left I haven't pissed off I'll get ya next round, most everyone finds something I say upsetting sooner or later

if anyone's still watching what all should I check/ replace while I have the motor out so I donna have to worry about it later
good news; I think; the van motor has a big fat remanufactured by ford sticker on the side of it so the miles ain't as high as I thought they was

I think you ahve to change the oil cooler anyway, so that will take care of your oil cooler orings. We just finished a thread on what has to be changed from a van to a pickup. One of the exhaust manifolds was another one.

no problem star I measuered it all ways for sunday to be sure cause I put out way more than I care to admit for a brand new radiator for the van when it started to leak while I was driving towards the rockies
no way am I ever gonna try packing a radiator full of snow to recover from overheating; not again anyway
