axle swap question

I have a 95 f250 with sterling 10.25 and vss Is it possible to swap out this for a non vss axle and still retain speedometer function? From what I have read its not or I have not found it. if there is a link please send it my way or point me in the direction

I'll add that some transmissions and transfercases have VSS connections, the native trans in that '95 doesn't but it may be convertable.

I did hear that from the ford parts guy near me but thats were his info ended so I questioned the reliabilty. Since you say it is so or at least possible conanski then I will look for the options there and will report back. I have found several quality dually rears but all are prior to 1992

in a holding pattern on the truck due to a title issue or actually a government issue which sucks but if I find a complete engine less vehicle I will use this f250 a parts truck
