Here's my '48 F-1. Got it from an older guy in Florida a couple of years ago.
It's an 8ba converted to 12 volt with a Delco 12si alternator. Beyond that it's pretty much stock under the hood. It's got a custom bent 1 1/8" front sway bar, a split brake system and a few other nuances but it doesn't deviate too far from how it was originally built.
Wow, Tom, that's a beautiful truck in a beautiful setting!! Hopefully I'll meet you and your truck in person in PA next fall.
Jim
Thanks Jim!
If all goes as planned I'll be taking the '49 F3 to Penn next fall.
Right now it is just a rolling frame and assorted unpainted body parts scattered all over but I'm motivated to get it worthy for a road trip. I have pretty much all the parts just need to get a few more and then this winter do as many small things indoors and then go like hell in the spring assembling it.
I hope to see you there too. Your panel truck is pretty cool. Tom
I have been restoring a '51 F1 panel truck for a couple of years now. I have finished body work and started painting in my home made paint booth. Lighting is poor, but the results look good to me. This is my first painting and body work project.
