removing dash

Hey guys...does the dash come out in all one peice in these trucks? Help me with a set of instructions...i once had a set i got from somebody on here but cant find anymore.

Please help

No,,not in one piece at all!
The dash has one big mane piece, but to get it out there are a lot of other pieces to remove in order to get to the bolts that hold it in place.

dash removal

I had my dash out twice in my '98 , the cover around the radio/heater controls pops off , as does the cover on top of the dash on the pass. side. I started w/ those, then unscrewing covers around the instrument cluster and steering wheel. As you take these covers off you will be able to see the screws that hold the dash in. It takes time and some mechanical know how but not tootough to figure out.

There's also a screw behind the headlight switch.
So ya need to remove the switch too.

go to autozone and get a haynes manual. its my bible.
