I read once that Ford offered a front tow hook conversion kit for the Expy for those that did not come with them. Anyone know if this true? Why would they not all have them ? I have every HD cooler I can think of, 3.73LS diffs and NO tow hooks. Furthermore, why is the lower valence not shaped the same between models with and without? Not the cut outs, but the overall design . . .mine hangs almost straight down, while those with hooks are swept back steeply. . .
my Expy '99 XLT doesn't have tow hooks either...very strange for a 4wd..but it does have the air dam that looks like all you have to do is cut out the openings.......tow hooks are 40.00 a piece and the air dam that the dealer quoted as being for tow hooks is over $100.00

I don't think that they would waste the time or $ hanging a 100 pound transfer case off the end of our transmissions for a 2wd....do you?...............and besides how many people that ask, comment, or reply to this forum, would be dumb enough(besides my ex-sister-in-law) to buy a vehicle that's 2wd thinking that it's 4wd...........give us some credit..........even though we're not Rocket Scientist's like you...........I really think that your response was unwarranted..........I think an apology is in order.....

Sorry ladies/gents, I meant those comments in a nice way
I've owned Ford trucks and vans for almost 20 years and to this day Ford Motor still amazes me at what comes standard package and what does not. Perfect example, my co-worker has the same exact Expy as we have, same year and model, his has the adjustable pedals that come nearer you. Mine doesn't have that option.
