04 navigator auto down window help please

Hey there. I have an 04 navigator and since i have owned it the auto feature on the drivers window does not work. the window it self works fine, but if i push it or pull it to the second click, it just stops when i release the switch. I have tried numerous different search terms and have failed.... so if anyone can help that would be great. Thank you.

I'd take the switch apart and clean the contacts. Or just replace it.

so you think its the switch? I tried to take it out the other day and couldnt figure it out. Its on the center console in front of the lid. Is there a DIY for this? Thanks for the tip!!!!

I can only speak from Expy experience (column shifter) but the 04 Navi is different (tunnel shifter). On an Expy you lift the little mat in the junk tray, undo one bolt and the area in front of the center console snaps out forward.

Thank you for the tip, I guess i will have to poke around a little to figure it out, I looked the other day a good bit and couldnt tell where to start. So thanks for any tips!

I imagine that the inner liner in the console is the same, basically a square bucket with no fasteners or anything towards the front where the switches are? That would make me think your switch plate comes out forward as well. The Expy is just spring clips after the single bolt is taken out.

I will have to take a look and see. I was thinking that the part with the switches in it was a seperate piece some how, because when i lift the console lid, it is just a square block sitting there that seems like should just pop right up and off. So i will look for the single bolt you are talking about. thanks for the help!
