in the market for a diesel...in negotiations for one right now...what is special about the sctx3 tuner?...im a newbie...how does it work?
when an egr is deleted, does it reprogram the computer work around the egr or what? :dunno:

 

The X-Cal re-flashes the computer to custom files. If you want a more aggressive tow file or more HP they can custom program to your needs. EGR delete will work on 03/04 engines without throwing a code, a programmer can eliminate the EGR function.

I have a SCT and love it. I bought it through First Coast Diesel and the programming is by Eric at Innovative Diesel. I run a +60 hp tune as a daily driver and it eliminates the egr issues(it's not there). I have a 125 hp tune I tried for fun. It is a riot but I do not run with it. I am too conservative. My last tune is a heavy tow tune. Works great pulling my 35 foot 5ver and the turbo is programmed to act like an exhaust brake.
