I have a 74 f250 4x4 that has 8 lug 16 inch wheels on it. I recently found a guy who still had a set of the old R buckshots but only in 15 inch wheels. I have read a couple threads saying you can make 15s work with some grinding or something, but is there any 15 inch wheel that will work without grinding? the tires sticking out of the fenders is not an issue to me but i do wanna make sure i do it correctly. Can anybody tell me exactly what i need to do and do it correctly and safely? or show me a wheel that will work??? i am looking for black wheels
You can't really make them fit a Ford axle by grinding. That only applies to Chevy axles. Supposedly custom wheels are available with very shallow backspacing that will work. Personally, that sounds like a lot of trouble for a set of obsolete tires. If he only has one set, what you gonna do if you have a blow out.
point taken...but those are the best mud tires ever on the market in my opinion. i did just find some of those in radials for 16 inch wheels so i may stick with the 16s
