hello all, i am now the owner of this '92 ranger. it is equipped with the 2.3l I-4 with the dual plug head. 5-speed manual transmission. i picked her up for the measly price of $600 and well, you get what you pay for these days, and she needs work! im gonna have fun!
right now im anty and waiting for it to be delivered. it should be at my house tommorow, then i can start diagnosing the engine problem... it runs rough for 15 seconds then bogs out, im thinking the fuel pressure regulator, or a bad injector.
its finally home! got to wrenchin on it, and have come across the fact that the previous owner, is a complete idiot! anywho, played with the cam timing a bit, now when i try to start it, it doesnt sound like its trying to kill itself, but i think the fuel pressure regulator is messed up, so im going to replace that next. Also need to bleed the clutch, fill the power steering pump, and cross my fingers id doesnt leak. wish me luck!!!!
