Hi I have a 1995 f250 powerstroke 7.3 diesel 5 speed 260k on the clock. I know this is the wrong forum but i got no replies on the right forum so here iit goes. I got the truck cheap because it was useing a gallon of oil a week, no smoke just the oil and diesel were mixed in fuel filter. I started by changing the pass side injector orings. front 3 went fine o rings were deterioated and was obviously the problem. I then got to the back pass side injector wich was very hard to get out and when it did the injecotr cup was stuck on the injector. I freaked as i had to drive the truck. i couldnt get the cup off injector so i changed the top 2 o rings put some lokt tite on cup and reinstalled injector in bore with cup still on injector. it all seemed to go together alright. No oil and water or anything like that mixing runs good still. Now heres the problem...
It will not start warm. Im losing high pressure oil somewere. I changed the drivers side o rings with out a problem too. It runs good starts ez when cold. The only way to start it warm is pull start it or use a shot of either it seems like the engine has to be at 500 -600 rpm to take off. Could that injector cup be the problem? what could it be? It started fine warm or cold before. The problem started after i did the pass. side. i have driven it 1oo miles andvt still wont start so im sure the air has been purged from the system. any help apreciated.
thanks
chris
I useds the o rings from dipaco they said they are the latest design. I used them on my 2000 powerstroke with no rpoblems. i did coat them with oil before the install.
