97 front seat

Does anyone know for sure whether a 97 F150 front seat will direct bolt into a 96 F250

I just put a bench seat from an 89 150 into my 97 350. it just bolted right in. I think you have to make sure that the cabs are the same. I don't think that a regular cab will fit into an extended cab, etc.
