Front tank sending unit?

Ever since i bought the truck, i have run it off the rear tank. Today, i fill up both tanks and switch it to the front tank and it reads empty immediately. Is it the sending unit? If so, how do i swap that sucker out? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

i understand the one for the front tank is pricey...that is why i go by miles! u get used to the "empty" thing after a while...just don't push your luck lol. whatever i think i can get out of the front, i switch 25-50 miles sooner.

Ok, thats what I was planning on doing cuz i would rather spend the money elsewhere. I was just throwing it out there cuz I couldn't find anything in any old threads.
