Diagnosing electrical gremlins

Bought a 99 Ranger Sport a week ago with 95K miles (XLT 3.0/5speed Manual) and have been having some intermittent issues with the speedo and the windshield wipers. I cleaned up battery connections and inspected fuses and found no issues. Any suggestions as where to begin looking?

Check your ground wires.

Check all the main electrical wiring quick disconnects. If you find corrosion clean and apply dielectric grease. My ranger has disastrous corrosion in the wiring and I'm looking for new harnesses now, Good luck.
