Stalling at Start-abates when warmed up
Especially when temperature drops below 60 degrees I will encounter this problem.
At startup, vehicle will idle very low (500-600) and almost always stall out. in order to start vehicle, i will have to step on gas-which inevitably sends a puff of white smoke. During the warmup period, I will smell sweet gas odor. I have found it best to keep my foot on the gas, so it revs at approximately 1000 rpm's until vehicle is warmed up. If I don't it may, or may not, continue to run. If it ceases to run, it will go up and down on the idle running 600rpms at the tops and down to 300rpms until it just stalls.
Additionally, I am now hearing a rattling noise under the hood. When facing the truck, it comes from the area of the COPS on the left-but I can't narrow it down any further. And another new problem is the truck rumbling sometimes when warmed up-as though truck is skipping a beat (plugs?)
Any advice on what to check, I would appreciate it.
I can follow instructions fairly well, but my mechanical knowledge is limited at best-so if possible, please try to be as descriptive as possible.
