When to Replace Shocks????
The ole F-450 has leaf springs all around and there is no bounce to the truck at all. It does and always has "rides like a lumber wagon". So how can I tell when it is time to replace the shocks? They don't appear to be damages and there are no signs of oil leaks. All of my miles are on the road. Thanks

When you say it rides like a lumber truck, dont forget one thing, you have a 450, not a 150 or even a 250. What year is the truck and about how many miles are on the shocks now? Easiest thing I would do is remove a shock and see how it acts. Does it compress easily, does it stay compressed for a while.
