New toForum

Howdy all I'm new to the forum and wanted to say thanks. I am buying an 04 or 05 X soon and have been prowling the forum recently trying to decide what to get. I am pretty much decided on the V10 4x4. I was hoping I could get some more help. I have seen allot about switching from the 2nd row buckets to the bench but is it possible to go from the bench to the buckets the same way? I was also wondering how difficult it is to install a small lift on the X. I have tried to get a look at the undercarriage but no luck so far. I was thinking of 2 or 3 inch lift.

Welcome to FTE!

Yes the swap from bench to and from the buckets will pretty much be the same. Sometimes you can even find someone from the area you live that wants to do the swap to the other seats that you have and you save trying to buy some.

The 2-3 in lift will be attained easily also. Lots have replaced the stock springs with something from the f 250-350's(heavier rated springs) to get that lift and a better ride with a little clearance on the front from leafs to bump stops.

Just do a search, as there is lots of info on both subjects. V and b code spring swaps.
