It will certainly fit, but there will probably be little things that need to be swapped. If you want to do no head scratching, then you will probably have to strip the 84 down and put the 86 carb, sensors, vacuum lines, etc. on the 84. If the 84 was v-belt and the 86 was serpentine belt, you will need to swap the waterpump and fan from the 86 to the 84 block to keep the serpentine system.
