Current Draw ==> rougher idle?
I noticed a while ago, and "tested" the theory today that when there is any sort of additional current draw (brake lights, turn signal, headlights, wipers, fan motor, etc) put to use, my engine idles roughly... seeming at points like it will quit.
What is the cause of this?
My alternator is god knows how old and I believe it to be a 60 amp.
Voltage regulator? Is there one? Where is it?
Any answers / theories / help very welcome... Thanks in advance

is ther a volatage drop at the battery or coil or distributor. there is possibilty of corroded wires etc or maybe the alt is just not charging. check voltage at the alt and battery. need to know the battery voltge running and shutoff.
