I've got idle problems.

Ok, so I got my engine running but it won't idle. I have no idea how to adjust the carb or choke. Background, the truck sat for 5 years. I did all of the minor maintenance and rebuilt the carb. During the rebuild I was trying to clean out one of the bolt holes for the accelerator pump and I accidently punched a hole through to the fuel bowl. I figured it wasn't a big deal, but now I think that may be my problem. When I rebuilt the carb I screwed both of the idle screws in halfway. I started backing them out and got it to idle roughly, but after a few minutes the engine died. Can anyone give me a "Carb Adjustments for Dummies" lesson just so I can get her running? Also, I am trying to find a book or video on carb adjustments, so any recommendations would be appreciated. BTW, here's Flo.

First things first you need to replace the ruptured diaphragm then proceed from there.

The diaphram isn't rupture, instead the bolt hole goes through to the fuel bowl.
