check engine light
hey guys having a hard time fingering out why my check engine light wont go off, my buddy has a snap on scanner that he has dumped about 4 grand into it can read cars from 88 to 2009. he brought it over and it said that my tps is bad so i replaced the tps with no luck put the scanner back on says the same thing. whats going on truck runs good getting about 15 17 mpg, how ever it does do weird stuff it dry starts every morning takes about 3 sec for the oil pressior to build and the rpm are weird when i shift the rpm will stay were ever there at when i press in the clutch will not do this if i and not moving. if i press the clutch in it will stay at 2500 for about 15 sec then drop to 1000 rpm and shortly after that it will fall to about 800. any ideas?

Every post I have seen on here where someone used a snap on scanner had problems and it did not help.
That said go to this URL and run the EEC Self-Test with a paper clip and post the codes back here and then we can help you a lot more.
