cam sensor?

Im having issues with my truck running real rough. At first, it seemed like it was running out of fuel, so I replaced filters, blew out the lines to check for blockages, and replaced the pump. It hasnt changed. Would a camshaft sensor maybe be the problem? If so, how can I test it?

to test a cam and crank signal you would test it at the pcm with an osicilope and the the to signals sould pass 11 teeth after the missing tooth on the tone ring.

now lets make this more simple what year is your truck. if its an 04 please staet weather its early or late build

check the icp sensor and connector, located at the back of the engine behind the turbocharger. the connector has 3 wires in it. if you look up from the bottom of the truck at the left rear of the engine near the top and see an oil leak it will most likly be your concern.

Ok, I looked at the icp, it was dry. I checked the wires and alll looked good. The cam sensor had some oil around the plug, so I unplugged it and cleaned it up and dried it out. I was going to replace it while I had it out (its quite a job getting to it) but the local parts store didnt have one, so Ill have to wait. Any other ideas?
