I'm trying to decide witch to go with for my center A/C vent, round or rectangle... ????

I think that if you go with the rectangular ones you should put a pair of them in there. Just one would look kind of silly. A pair of the round ones might look kind of cool as well.
Here's another thought; if you could find some of the oval shaped ones that GM used in the early tomid 60's. Here's a couple of pics; the first is a 61 Pontiac, you can kind of see the center AC ducts hanging down under the center of the dash;
Here's something similar on a mid 60s Caddy;

Not the best picture but you can see that I went with the ones provided with the Vintage A/C kit. I originally had planned to use the round vents and was going to have two in the middle and put the controls in the floor console but thought better of that for ease of install as I've made enough trouble for myself with the glove box removal.
