Engine ID

What's the best way to ID the engine in my 1991 Bronco.
Actually I pulled it out of the truck because it transfered
2 gallons of coolant to the oil pan. The engine is not original
and has no ID tags. I know it's a 302 or 5.0L. I'd like to nail down the year for the block and heads. I'm having trouble
locating block numbers, cast or stamped. It has SB cast in the lifter valley, also XXX is cast in the valley. There should be a casting number somewhere on the outside of the block and
possibly a number stamped somewhere also. The heads have
J027 cast in the rocker area. Any help appreciated.

My Haynes shows the stamp pad either on a lip of the deck or on the back of the valley near the top of the bellhousing. Look for casting numbers on the L side near the oil filter.

heads- should be on combustion chamber side of head, where pushrods come up thru
block- on pan rail near starter location
