Hey guys...I have a dash question. I was reading in the owners guide that if I keep pusing my reset button on the dash that I will come to a display item that says something to the effect that OIL LIFE = 80% or whatever percentage. I keep pushing my reset button and scroll through all of the screens that come up and I do not see this one.
If I put the truck in engineering test mode I can scroll through it, but for 4,500+ miles now that percentage has stayed at OIL LIFE=100%.
Anyone know what the secrete combination is to get this to acutally show?
I did the same thing but after scratching my head for a while I re-read the manual and it says the OIL LIFE option is only for gas engines. I missed it too.
Well....son of a gun...read that darned book twice and missed it each time. Thanks for clearing that up for me.
Shame on FOMOCO for allowing it to show up in Enginerring Test Mode and raising my concern that it should be their.
Thanks!!!

This is a classic example of one size fits all when it really does not. Same with when you go thru the messages and it show the TBC=0 on the message display..was developed for future use. I think the 09's and up.
