rear end

i have a 89 f 250 costum. i am changing ds wheel seal.
my problem is after i took out the pinlock out. i cant get the pin to slide out.
the spider gear that is farthest away from from the pinlock is froze to the pin, and it wont let the pin slide out
is that gear supposed to be stuck together with the pin like that?
does anyone have any ideas for me?
thank you

I'm confused. Are you talking about the differential crosspin? Is this a full-floating axle?

im not sure if it is the full floating axle, but
it is a 10.25 in. rear .
its the smallest dia. axle.
yes it is the diff croos pin . the 1 spider gear is froze n not sure if it should slide out or should i pound it out?

If it's a full floating axle, you have to unbolt the axles to remove them. If it's a semi-floating axle then I don't know how different the axle is from an 8.8" but maybe someone else knows how that axle comes apart. If it is like an 8.8" you remove the crosspin and push both axles inward. Pull the c-clips out and the axles slide right out.

yes thats exactly how this is to take apart.
but i cant get the crosspin to side out. one of the gears that the pin needs to slide through is stuck to the to the pin n wont let pin slide out
i think that gear should turn in that gear like the other side. am i wrong?

I really doubt that one of the gears is actually stuck to the pin. I guess it's possible... but I don't really see how that would happen. I bet a couple of taps with a hammer would knock the pin loose.
