I am looking at the following truck 1990 Ford F350. I emailed the guy when he first posted the add and told him that I was interested but the blue book is only 2600 (excellent condition). at that point he said no. well I received an email from the guy today saying i can have it for 2600. right now I'd like to get the guy lower but he's being a pain. I don't NEED anything this big, though ideally a crew cab would be nice. I need at least an extended cab, 8' bed. obviously I would need to remove the logo's on the side of the trucks. What are every ones thoughts, should I try to persure this more or just walk away. Note I have not seen the truck yet so once I see it I might even make him go lower
sorry didnt see the link, the sun was glaring through the blinds, well you already got him to damn near half of what he was asking so it's worth looking at in person, maybe you can get him even lower, sounds like your the only one looking at it and he need's it gone
Fat Dan, read the link info on CL. If he will let it go for 2600 i might consider it but it would have to be a clean running machine. It looks rougher than he is letting on. Up to you bro make a good choice though and remember that if there are lots of issues when you see it, there are probably more.
Just an idea you sound as if you are not 100% sold on this unless it is a steal.
E'mail him back and explain that in the time between you have spent some of the available funds and have only x amount left to spend if you are interested in it. But you have to wonder why he has come to your terms is it the truck or is he in a finanicial bind these things make a difference.
well $4500 for a 1990 2wd drive in MASS is crazy.so that's good you showed him,he was a little off originally.
she's going to have some rust, which will put it below blue book, not over like this lol.
if he wants blue book she has to be worth blue book.check it out and let us know what it looks like.expect some rust with a MASS truck this age.
though, keep in mind your getting a sander and she's a crew cab dually.
looks like an XLT as well.
be sure to kbb with these things.
as for the sander, ask him about it(brand/size/condition etc.),if you dont need it,just find out what they go for second hand often in MASS.take this into consideration as well,as you can sell it and have return $ if you don't want/need it.
you could end up in nice shape here all said and done i think.worth the drive to see it.
check her out and grab some more pics when your there.
find out the axle ratio.
just grab the axle code on the drivers side door sticker.
if its 3.55 and if you want to convert it to a SRW for better fuel mileage, send me a pm.you could end up with a free truck by then.
id buy the rims & rear axle/ for a price you couldn't say no to (seriously.send me a pm for my offer.)
as well as bring you 4 SRW rims (my old gray ones in great shape) and a SRW axle(my current low mileage one) .
i couldn't use your front hubs tho.
