Hey guys, so I'm new to the PSD and loving it, what I've done, 4inch exhaust and Diablo Predator. It is a daily driver, I haul a medium to heavy loads often with family construction company. So my question is this, what should be my first priority on things to do to make it better. Bought used with 137,000 miles, Oasis report clean, no major work done to it other than routine maintenance. Thanks
I would start with an aftermarket air filter. I used have a K&N stock replacement, but know I have a Amsoil Nano filter in my 7.3L Turbo Diesel. The K&N will give you a slight boost in power/response.
7.3, 6.0, 6.4? And I disagree with the K&N recommendation, they are junk in my opinion.
That's the "clean" side of my stock airbox from when I bought my truck. K&N drop in filter in there for who knows how long. I ditched the whole setup and installed a 6637 filter and I've been really happy with it.

You didn't say you had gauges, I would hope that if your running a tuner and hauling medium to heavy loads you have gauges on there as well.
Personally, I would get rid of the Diablo and get a tuner that does custom tunes, that exponentially raises your ability to have better longevity and reliability versus off the shelf tuning like Diablo. Not to mention efficiency also has a better chance since the tunes are written specifically for you and your truck.
4" exhaust is a good size for your application. I would stick with that.
It's already been mentioned, but do not get an a/m intake. They don't flow more then stock until you are well outside the usable range of a stock or tuned 6.0. There are people that put down more HP/TQ then I do(I'm at 508/721) and still run the stock intake. I've notice alot of 7.3 guys advocate a/m intakes and for good reason, there stock one sucks, even if you didn't do a tuner, you would still get better results on a 7.3. Here is the problem and it has gotten alot of people in trouble, is that you cannot take what you know from previous diesels and apply it to the newer diesels(starting from the 6.0 to current). That has gotten alot of people in trouble with the 6.0, trouble a good deal that could have been mitigated, but that's for a whole other thread.
If that tuner was on there when you bought it, I'd have an Oasis checked on it. If the head bolts haven't been replaced yet, if you keep the tuner, you are gonna need them SOON! Install a coolant filter. Drain and replace all fluids so you know where you are starting and then replace as the owner's manual calls for for "Severe Duty". The 6.0 LOVES to be driven hard but you can't put it away wet!

You are referring to the aftermarket stock(no mods needed) replacement filter itself right?
