bad injectors

bad injectors

i was wondering if injectors that werent closing/leaking would allow the fuel to drain out and let air in

no visual leaks. i know ive got a couple of bad injectors but sometimes when the truck is warm it doesnt like to start i ordered new injectors but when they got here ups had been pretty rough on the box and one was missing the empty box was there but the injector wasnt in it

what were they doing to make you think they were leaking?were you getting a knock?

knocks a little when cold. its ben smoking but only when decelerating like when im going down hill with no throttle buddies that have been behind me say it smells like fuel so i figured that a couple injectors might be leaking

they always smoke a little when they are cold and the knocking your talking about could just be the timing advance.does the knocking stop after the fast idle kicks down?

the knocking usually goes away once its up to operating temp but goes on after the fast idle
