You can't. That would be an original stock drive trail, but there aren't matching serial numbers in Fords like there are in Chevys. So, you don't know if the truck was reengined or not.

Short answer, you can't tell. The engines had no numbers that would be associated with the truck. They were viewed like any other part that could be replaced if needed. There are casting numbers that can give an idea of when the engine was produced, but that's all. As for the transmission, older models had the VIN stamped into the bell housing, but not so on our era of trucks.
