i will try to explain this as simple as possible. i wanted to know if the 1st and 2nd gears out of a 4r70w can be used in a aode trans since the gears are lower. i got the complete internals from the 4r70w trans from a person that wanted to use the case for another project that was being worked on. can a complete rebuild trans kit for an aode trans be used on parts from another trans or would i have to buy 2 kits too complete 1 trans over haul. this trans would also have a shift kit. i don't know much about automatic trans, but any answer on this would help me out a lot. i also remember that the person i got this from said something about mechanical diodes or something like that..........thanks for understanding my complicated story.............

Beats me, maybe these guys can sell you what you need to complete the project and certainly they will know about gearset interchangeability.

the gear train will work.you have to use the planet set ,the ring gear that goes on the output shaft and the stub gear..i have used this set up on the aod trans myself to help- with the 1-2 lag

hey guys thanks for the feed back...........to l-m tech i have the parts just don't know what i'm looking at. do you have a pic of the planet set ring gear that goes on the out put shaft and stub gear. when the person gave me the parts it was in a card board box, so i don't know where to look. is it all 1 piece or does it come apart into smaller pieces. how long is the out put shaft and stub gear.............thanks again for the quick feed back guys.............
