How bad is This???
Thanks in advance...
1. Is the manifold something that is stocked at the dealership?
2. When I pull the fuel lines off the manifold will I need to plug the line that is coming in from the fuel tank, and also will fuel drain out of the other lines coming back from the engine?
3. Is it safe to drive if the plug falls out? And what will happen if the plug falls out while I'm driving, or will I even know that it is out until I stop?
Thanks for getting back to me....This is my wife's EX so I need to plan on borrowing something tomorrow for her if the part takes longer.

Most dealers that do diesel work should have it on the shelf.
You dont need to plug the lines IF you remove them, but yes they will drain out and make a mess pretty much no matter what you do so have a big drain pan nearby and dont have your sunday clothes on. Take the fuel cap off before you start just to be sure no pressure in tank.
If the plug falls out it wont run, and it will **** fuel EVERYWHERE FAST. If its even questionable I would not drive it until you get it fixed.
the fuel pump manifold has 4 line on it 2 supply and 2 return that must be removed. you will need a tool for that but there are cheep at autozone or the like $10 or so.
you will have fuel in the lines that will drain not a big deal.
if you fail to have the drin valve seal correctly you can suck air in to the fuel system not a good thing.
if it falls out you will dump fuel all over the place and suck lots of air. could possible die going down the road as a result.
also leaking can casue low fuel pressure and volume
Just got back from Auto Zone...picked up the removal tools for the fuel line (not sure how they work yet by looking at them, but I think I can probably figure it out.
Anything else I should be aware of during the replacement.
Do I just put all the hoses back into the manifold and reconnect the electrical and crank her up? Any priming of the fuel lines or anything else you would do?
Thanks...I'll keep you posted on how the change goes with pictures and a step by step so that I can help out the next guy who does this.
