ok here is the idea I have come up with, and wanted any feed back and ideas as to weather its doable.
I want to put a late model font suspention and stering on my 79 f-100. I know the purests will hammer me on this one. just so yall know this is th 9th 77-79 I have owned and wanted to go a diffrent way with this one. love these trucks. so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
If you have the fabrication and welding skills along with the time and money then pretty much anything is possible, it may not be practical but it's certainly possible.
I'm curious what direction are you wanting to go. Is it 4X or 2X do you want to drop it and make it a car. what is it you are after. If it is 2X and you are wanting it to still be a pickup what you have is in my opinion better than a late model.
I also would like to know what the goal or plan for the truck is.

You do realize that aside from both suspensions being "i-beams" rather than a-arms is about all they have in common right??? One is equal length beams and one is un-equal. Different geometry for sure.
it is x2 and wanting to put a newer suspention up front going to lower it. was just a thought I had but does seem kind of redundent should probibly just do the lowerd springs and dream beams. have always just put new springs and shocks in them mostly concentrating on the motor and trans, want a lowered one this time. putting a stroker 351 with a 5 speed, svaving the doors amd emblems. and need a super cab short bed with duel gas doors. po put a ugly crome door and cut a hole in the bed for a second tank.
