Question what do you guys think?

hey guys this web site is very helpful I've learned alot from here anywhoot I was wondering how hard is it to change out an automatic for a 4speed manual. I am thinking about buying an 84 f250 with a 460 and the only thing is that it has an auto and I don't like them a one bit. My step dad has an 83 with a 460 and a 4speed that I could get from him. how hard would it be and what would I need

Since both have the 460, it should be pretty straightforward. You'll have to swap your pedal bracket for one with a clutch pedal (and the switch), put in a floor panel on the hump that has the cutout for the shifter, get a steering column that DOESN'T have a shifter, and maybe move the crossmember and cut the driveshafts for length. I recently helped a the guy who runs BroncoData swap an M5OD into his '93 Bronco for the old E4OD that was trashed, and he can give you some advice, too.
