How to save threads???

I'm on this site almost every day and learn alot from you folks. I frequently come across info that I want to hold onto for later use and preventive maintenance. I've heard it mentioned on several occasions tat you can save threads and for the life of me I can't figure out how to do it. I have in the past cut and pasted the URL into my email address and save in my account but seems like there is a better way. Is there a better way?
Wasn't sure where to post this so I went to my usual place that i know.

The way i like is bookmarking. Simple but affective.

I just have a bookmark folder named "FTE Information" If i find a thread i want to keep i will save in the FTE folder and name is something that it relates to. You can export your bookmarks so you can have multiple computers that have the same info.

Or if you got room you could save to your favorites, I believe, never tried that though..

I just copy the thread in it entirety with pictures and paste it into "Word" and then save it into my document folder labeled "Ford PSD info".

I print them to a pdf file and save them that way.

You can download a free pdf converter program (CutePDF) here:
CutePDF - Create PDF for free, Free PDF Utilities, Save PDF Forms, Edit PDF easily.

First, click on "Thread Tools" and then "Show Printable Version"

Then print it out. Except, instead of selecting an actual printer, select "CutePDF Writer"

It will churn for a few seconds, then pop up a window asking you what filename you want to call it, and where you want to save it.

Bingo -- you have it saved on your computer.

One problem with this is if someone later replies with some really good info, you have to repeat the process again.
