I was sitting in my easy chair this past weekend watching Trucks! on TNN and they doing a project that centered around Bully Dog products. Anyone ever hear of this company before? Has anyone used their products?
The project centered around increasing performance by installing a propane injections system. I would be interested in hearing anyone's feedback on this as I was quite intrigued. Does this type of system serve the same purpose as NOS?
Also, they installed a Bully Dog exhaust system. Pipes measured 4" I believe with a chromed exit measuring 5".
I have heard of bully dog, they make diesel performance products. I don' t have any of their stuff, don't seem to be too popular with the diesel people on this site or other sites for that matter.
Propane works as a catalyst to release more of the energy available in diesel fuel during combustion. During normal combustion all of the diesel fuel isn't burned so the propane helps to burn close to 100% of the diesel. It can and has blown diesel motors due to detonation. Many people use it without a problem and great great results like 100hp gains with it.
As for the exhaust, 4" pipes and 5" tips are pretty much the standard in aftermarket exhaust systems for diesels.
