Rob,
If you're going to have the intake under the hood, you might as well just replace the facory filter with a K&N and save yourself $200. I've been looking this afternoon and the only kit I've been able to locate is the Volant. I just purchased a 2002 (4.6)and want to open it up on the intake and exhaust end. Any recommendations for header/catback systems or places to look? I'll keep looking for an intake - let you know what I come up with.

As far as exhaust systems go there are quite a few to choose from and they all seem to be pretty much the same. I decided to go with the flowmaster kit because I have used their mufflers before and think that they have a good product and provides a good tone. My expy sounds great with the flowmaster exhaust and the interior sound is still mild.
My next step is to free up the intake with an intake kit, but I still haven't decided which brand yet. Banks has a "ram air" intake kit that I am looking into now.
