I'm in west Mesa. Just bought a 1979 F150 a couple months ago. Just failed emissions last week so I'm trying to get it up to code. Needs cats and a smog pump. Tired some salvage yards today, but didn't have any luck.

 

My 92 chevy didn't pass one year, took it for a long drive ( aired up the tires) and brought it back , the guy said it passed, he ask me what I did , I told him nothing just added air almost every year they tell me my cat is bad and every year I still air up and drive off happy

I live in Lake Havasu City but commute weekly to Phoenix (Deer Valley Airport) to work. Traded my 88 Harley Rigid for a 76 F150 4X4, have the cab off the frame at the moment, rebuilt the engine (410), trans (NP435) and transfer case (205). Removed A/C system from cab and completely rebuilt everything and reinstalled. Replacing all cab and core support mounts, all new U joints, all new hardware where I can. I have tried unsuccessfully to get on the forum for 3 months but somehow my account got screwed up, it wouldn't even let me email anyone to let them know, but tonight a guy from the advertising section helped me out, wish I had gotten his name I would give him kudos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Weekdays I'm in Glendale near 59th Ave & Greenway, weekends every chance I get are at the shop outside of Show Low. My '64 F-100 is currently in my garage in the valley getting some prep work, but will be restored in Show Low once I get my Maverick off the lift. Truck is basically down to a frame and cab, with the explorer 8.8 under it. No engine in it yet, it's on the stand n Show Low, and the crown vic front suspension is hopefully on the way for it tomorrow.
