tranny problems

hi i have an '01 f-250 7.3 and my transmission is acting funny.. reverse works just fine but forward gears pulsate, and ikf i give it any acceleration it just revs up and goes nowhere. any help would be greatly appreciated

sounds like it is low on fluid or the forward clutch is burnt out of it,how does the fluid smell?

fluid is full and smells like good fluid. is the clutch replaceable or am i lookin at a rebuild/new tranny?

I would ask a local tranny shop you trust to check it,but if it needs a forward clutch,the tranny has to come out & taken appart so it's a good time to check the condition of the other clutches & bands,you can try a bottle of Lucas Trans Fix in it but it depends how much damage is done,good luck,Gigger
