Been looking for a replacement box for my 2000 Long bed truck. Called a few parts yards and such, all their interchange shows 99-07 only. Last time I checked, the only diffrence was tailgate and lights, both of which interchange, just look different.

Is there any other difference that would stop a 08 style box from going on a 2000 truck ? Fuel neck location different ? Mounting holes moved ? Anybody put an 08 on a 07 and older truck ?

 

Wheel openings are larger on 08+ but will still work.

 

is the larger opening noticable ? About how much more would you guess at ? I dont have anything around here to compare against. I dont want my truck to look like some kind of frankenstein project.
