I am majorly confused about doing a single wire conversion. Basically where I am at is that I have spent about a week replacing voltage regulators, wires and a bunch of other stuff. I think I want to do a single wire conversion.
Question: Can I go into a parts house and give them the make and model of a later model car that is a "single wire"? I have a 69 F250, and want to get rid of my headaches. Any part numbers or online stores, or anything would be GREAT! Thanks!
Okay, I guess the question I need to be asking, can I go to a local parts house and get a one wire alternator that will bolt into place of my existing one? I'm looking at my 95 Chevy Pickup, and it looks kind of similar. I want this to be painless! As Possible
You could probably find one at your local auto electric shop that specializes in alternators and starters and such. They may be able to convert your current alternator into a one wire set up. That way you know it would fit!
